Set in the 1930s and inspired by pulp sci-fi comic books, this special effects bonanza features Paltrow as a reporter investigating the disappearance of several scientists. After flying machines and giant robots invade New York, she reunites with her old flame, the fighter pilot known as Sky Captain (Law), to stop the mad scientist behind these perils.
